Celebrating the launch of the new Medical Research Council Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders at King’s College London, ‘The Developing Brain in Health and Disease’ symposium will bring together experts from various fields to discuss shared and confronted views on the biological mechanisms underlying developmental brain disorders from 14 to 16 June 2017. Confirmed speakers included Peter Scheiffele (University of Basel), Christine Holt (Cambridge University), Nenad Sestan (Yale School of Medicine), Paola Arlotta (Harvard University), Pierre Vanderhaghen (Université libre de Bruxelles), Gord Fishell (New York University), Ivan Soltesz (Stanford University) among others.

Throughout the three days of the symposium, clinicians and researchers will cover 5 key themes: Human variation in neurodevelopmental disorders, Mechanisms of brain assembly, Early onset neurodevelopmental disorders, Late onset neurodevelopmental disorders, and Experimental treatments. The symposium will also provide young researchers with an opportunity to present their work through selected short talks.
